GUIMARAS ISLAND

HOW I GOT THERE: In going to Guimaras Island from Iloilo, you can take a 15 minute ferry boat ride in Parola Wharf to Jordan Wharf for only 14php. In Jordan Wharf, I was greeted by Joel Guileno (mobile no. 09267633190). I contracted him for a tricycle day tour for 1200php with the following itineraries: MANGO RESEARCH & MANGO PLANTATION Guimaras Island is known for its sweet mangoes and considered as the Mango Capital of the Philippines. WINDMILL FARM Guimaras Windmills in San Lorenzo was put up by Trans-Asia Renewable Energy Corp. (TAREC) not just to provide renewable energy throughout the island, but also provided top tourist attraction in the area. GUISI LIGHTHOUSE SADSAD FALLS Sadsad falls is a 150 feet high waterfalls Other Guimaras attractions you can visit in the tour: Smallest Plaza Holy Family Hills Museum Pasalubong Center Pitstop Trappist Monastery Alobijod Cove Rarmen Beach

ILOILO: GIGANTES ISLAND

HOW I GOT THERE: I was in Ilo-ilo City when I contacted Rhett Paul for my Gigantes Island Tour - 09989816812 and arranged to pick me up in my hotel to Bancal Port in Carles for 250php. Located in Bancal Port, Carles Iloilo is a Tourist assistance, boat reservation, registration and payment center. They also regulates the rates and accredited the boats for the Gigantes Tours. Gigantes Island Tour (1000php) includes lunch. It was so very unfortunate for me that I was not able to visit all islands like Antonia Beach, Lighthouse, Pawikan Cave, Bakwitan Cave and the famous  Tangke Lagoon due unfavorable weather and unfriendly waves. But I'm still thankful that I was able to visit Cabugao Gamay, Bantigue Sand Bar and Cambugao Dako where we had our lunch with unlimited scallops. Gigantes Island is dubbed as the Scallop Capital of the Philippines Scallops are being sold for 1php per piece! Yes, way cheaper than those sold in Iloilo and
