Nogas Island is a government naval reservation in Antique Province. It can be accessed by sailboat or motorboat within 20mins from the shorelines of Anini-y town proper. Behind the Lighthouse into the woods, you will find a Century Old Balete tree. I always find Balete trees beautiful with all its roots, vines and branches gnarling at each other giving it its mystical look. They seem to be portals to another dimensions making it a perfect setting for many horror stories. The island has thick and vast mangroves. These mangroves largely surrounds the whole island.
