How to get there: From Bacolod North Bound Ceres Bus Terminal facing Lacson St., walk to your left to Circumferencial Road. Lakawon Island is the mini boracay of Negros with its clear waters, sand bars and pristine fine white sand beaches surrounding the whole island. Lakawon  in Cebuano,  was derived  from the  word "lakaw"  which means  "walk" or "to walk." Literally,  you can actually  go around  the island  just by walking. I was able  to walk  around  it for 3 hours  including sightseeing,  swimming, picture taking and resting. The island became famous to travelers for its floating bar called, Tawhai.
