ASIK-ASIK FALLS

SOCCKSARGEN: NORTH COTABATO Asik-Asik Falls unlike any other waterfalls, it has no stream at the top of its cliff. Clean cold spring water are gushing out from its walls and is good for drinking. The falls got its name from the Hiligaynon word 'Asik' which means 'Sprinkle.' Waters coming out from its rock walls sprinkles the river. We have traveled from General Santos to Cotabato City to Alamada. In Alamada, we hired a roundtrip habal-habal to Asik-Asik Falls for 700php (2pax) Pay entrance 30php Start descending at a very steep stairs with almost a thousand steps (700-1000 steps) I lost count. But one thing I can assure you, your legs will uncontrolably quiver!

GRAND MOSQUE

SOCCKSARGEN - COTABATO CITY Cotabato City is the regional center of ARMM (Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao) and home of the Grand Mosque of the Philippines. The Grand Mosque or Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah is the largest mosque in the Philippines, donated by the Sultan of Brunei. To get inside, you have to wear proper clothing like abaya and hijab which could be rented for 50php. (Pedro Colina) P.C. Hill where over 100 houses were painted with bright and lively colors of the rainbow with a touch of painted accents such as crabs, gongs and the guinakit - the symbol of Cotabato City. MASJID DIMAUKOM aka PINK MOSQUE

SOCCKSARGEN: MAGUINDANAO The Masjid Dimaukom or Pink Mosque in Datu Saudi Ampatuan in Maguindanao. The mosque was painted pink to symbolize peace & love. SOCCKSARGEN: SULTAN KUDARAT The province was named in honor of a powerful Muslim ruler, Sultan Muhammad Dipatuan Kudarat who reigned the Sultanate and hailed as a hero and the most powerful Sultan in Maguindanao during his time. SOCCKSARGEN - SOUTH COTABATO Lake Sebu is a natural lake located in the municipality of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato within the Alah Valley region. The Philippine has recognized it as one of the country's most important watersheds supplying important irrigation to the provinces of Sultan Kudarat and South Cotabato. Lotus flowers symbolizes beauty and spirituality in several cultures and religions of the world. Lotus flowers only blooms from 5am to 8am. In Lake Sebu Terminal, there are motorbike drivers (habal-habal) regulated by the Tourism Office who offers services to drive you around Lake Sebu's tourist spots. 7 FALLS in LAKE SEBU

SOCCKSARGEN - SOUTH COTABATO Lake Sebu is the home of the 7 Falls namely Hikong Alo, Hikong Bente, Hikong B'lebel, Hikong Booth, Hikong Ukol, Hikong Kifo-i and Hikong Tonok. Entrance 20php. Zipline is the best way to see majority of tghe waterfalls for 350php weekends and holiday (300php weekday). Zipline Photos are offered in different packages. We took the soft copy package for 200php.  You can also have hard copies and should you need a GoPro, you can rent it for 250php. HOW I GOT THERE: From Cebu, I took a flight to General Santos. LANG DULAY WEAVING CENTER

SOCCKSARGEN - SOUTH COTABATO Lang Dulay is a dream weaver who was recognized as a National Artist of the Philippines for promoting and preserving the traditional T'nalak Weaving. She was able to pass down the tradition and is being kept alive by the new T'boli generations before she died last 30Apr15. Dream Weavers are T'boli women who learned T'nalak weaving taught by goddess Fu Dalu in their dreams. T'nalak, the T'boli sacred cloth, made from abaca is the tribe's traditional textiles used as cover during births and exchanged during marriages. Lang Dulay Weaving Center is open for all.
