HOW TO GET THERE: From Cebu South Bus Terminal , take a bus to Dumaguete (170php). From Dumaguete port, take a boat to Siquijor (130php). In Siquijor, hire a habal-habal (motorbike) for a day (800php).  

My sister and I decided to go backpacking to Dumaguete and contacted a good friend of mine to tour us around. We took the 4am Ceres Bus at Cebu South Bus Terminal to Bato. Bus fare 170php, estimated travel time 4hrs. In Bato, we took a ferry from Liloan Port to Sibulan Port (60php boat ticket and 2php terminal fee). Estimated travel time 1 hour. Upon arriving Sibulan Port, my good friend  Zechariah Olis  was already waiting to take us on a tour. He took us to Balinsasayaw Twin Lakes Natural Park located at the highlands of Negros Oriental.  Registration and entrance fee is 50php. At the back of the registration building, you will find a lake with unusual trees floating in its waters with its roots sticking out which reminded me of the Avatar Jungle. Arrange your tour at Tourism Office, they are very friendly and helpful. Hire a habal-habal (motorbike) for 250php to take you to Niludhan Falls. From Niludhan Falls, went straight to Mabinay Cold Spring for a 10php entrance. Mabinay spring offers Canopy Walk, Zipline, Swimming Pool and Kayaking. Just a stone throw away from Mabinay Spring, is Honey's Relax Inn. A cheap accommodation 2 minute walk from Mabinay Spring. 350php for a room per night.
