GUIMARAS ISLAND

HOW I GOT THERE: In going to Guimaras Island from Iloilo, you can take a 15 minute ferry boat ride in Parola Wharf to Jordan Wharf for only 14php. In Jordan Wharf, I was greeted by Joel Guileno (mobile no. 09267633190). ILOILO: GIGANTES ISLAND

HOW I GOT THERE: I was in Ilo-ilo City when I contacted Rhett Paul for my Gigantes Island Tour - 09989816812 and arranged to pick me up in my hotel to Bancal Port in Carles for 250php. Located in Bancal Port, Carles Iloilo is a Tourist assistance, boat reservation, registration and payment center. They also regulates the rates and accredited the boats for the Gigantes Tours. Gigantes Island Tour (1000php) includes lunch. It was so very unfortunate for me that I was not able to visit all islands like Antonia Beach, Lighthouse, Pawikan Cave, Bakwitan Cave and the famous  Tangke Lagoon due unfavorable weather and unfriendly waves. But I'm still thankful that I was able to visit Cabugao Gamay, Bantigue Sand Bar and Cambugao Dako where we had our lunch with unlimited scallops. BUD BONGAO, TAWI-TAWI

Bud Bongao is a mountain located in Bongao Island in the province of Tawi-Tawi. It is a mountain formed with six limestone pillars that serves as its peak. These peaks are Bongao, Pajar, Sibutu (summit), Simunul, Tambisan and Tinondakan. Bud Bongao is inside the Bongao Peak Eco-Tourism Park which was inaugurated last 3July2017. It is a 50-hectare forest that is one of the last remaining moist forest in the Sulu Archipelago. The mountain is considered sacred where it is believed that two preachers who are direct followers of Karim ul-Makhdun are buried under what is called Tampat Rocks.  Karin ul-Makhdum brought Islam to the Philippines in the year 1380. PANAMPANGAN ISLAND

Panampangan Island  is considered the longest and widest sandbar in the Philippines. Its sandbar extends to 3,128.37 meters (10,263.7 ft.) The Lone WOMANGROVE Lahar or Sandbar? It is characterized with fine white sand beach in the Sulu Archipelago. Panampangan Island is an island in the municipality of Sapa-Sapa, Tawi-Tawi. It is located inside Basibuli Shoal.   HOW I GOT THERE: I was in Zamboanga when I was invited by my friends from Cagayan De Oro to travel to Tawi-Tawi.
