Mt. Mauyog is also know as the Brain Coral Peak because of its rock textures.
Mt. Mauyog derived its name from the word "mauyog" which means "wobbly or shaky" referring to the wobbly stones you will pass before you actually reach the peak.
With the fear of falling from these wobbly stones that we had to ask our tour guide, Kuya Jojo on what's beneath if we accidentally fall?
Kuya Jojo informed us that beneath the rocks we are stepping on is a cave with a waterfalls and a river. I was imagining a hidden beauty waiting to be explored.
The trek to Mt. Mauyog will only take you 15-30 mins from jump-off point depending on your pace.
Climbing Mt. Mauyog is not for the faint hearted just like my friends. hehehe :-P
We arrived the peak at 5pm.
We were rewarded with an amazing view from the top, an unforgettable experience, a story to tell and pictures to share.
We are very lucky to arrive just in time to catch the warm glow of the setting sun.
Watching the sunset makes you feel stronger.
Sunsets are proof that no matter what happens, everyday can end beautifully.
