21st Hot Air Balloon Festival


The Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is the longest-running sports aviation 
event in Asia, gathering aviators and spectators from around the world for four days of non-stop flying action.




From hot air balloons to aerobatic exhibitions, formation flying to radio-controlled aircraft, paragliding, skydiving and dozens of on-ground activities. Visitors are always guaranteed to have fun and unforgettable weekend!



How to get there:

From Clark Airport, you can take the jeepneys parked at the right side of the Arrival Area. It is going to the main gate near SM Clark but you have to tell the driver to drop you off at the  Balloon Fiesta at OMNI Aviation. Walk to entrance gates.

From Manila, take Victory Liner bus bound for Dau, Pampanga. Alight at the terminal and walk a bit towards the highway where taxis, jeepneys and trikes are available - all of which can take you to Clark main gate. From there, take another jeep and ask the driver to drop you off at the Balloon Fiesta at OMNI Aviation. Walk to entrance gates.



Tickets can be purchased at the gate. Gates will open at 5am.
Online tickets can also be purchased in advance for a cheaper rate.

  • General Admission - 350 phP per person per Fiesta day.
  • VIP Passes - 6000 phP per person per Fiesta day.
  • Hot Air Ballon Rides - 350 US$ per perso per ride.
  • Tandem Sky Diving - 400 US$ per person per jump.
  • Aerobatic Flights -  400 US$ per person per ride.
  • Airplane Discovery Flights - 150 US$ per person per ride.
  • Tandem Paragliding - 150 US$ per person per flight.
  • Helicopter Ride - 70000 phP per person per ride. 


Reminders:
The venue is an open airfield, so be prepared to be out in the sun and wear sunblock, light clothing, sturdy but comfortable shoes, hats and shades.



Bring face mask or handkerchief as the venue could get dusty during warm weather and muddy when it rains, so remember to be prepared for these conditions.

Basically, all programs and activities in the morning will have a repeat performance for the afternoon except the opening flag jump and the balloon flight where balloons are being inflated to prepare for takeoff.

Sto. Nino Shrine and Heritage Museum

In 1979, Sto. Nino Shrine is one of the 29 Presidential rest houses. Late President Ferdinand Marcos has built this mansion for his wife, First Lady Imelda Romualdez-Marcos who was born in Tacloban City. An entrance fee of 230php is collected for the maintenance of the museum. The Sto. Nino Shrine and Heritage Museum is open daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm. For inquiries, call (53) 321-9775 or (53) 401-8172. A private chapel dominates the ground floor with the image of Sto. Nino as its focal point. The red carpet in the center isle was removed due severe damage caused by Yolanda. CATMON

MOUNT KAPAYAS Mount Kapayas is the second highest peak in Cebu. It is called the Torre Peak or Lantawan Peak by the locals. I was invited by an officemate whom I am not quite acquainted with, but I enthusiastically accepted his invitation. Meeting place was at Phoenix Gas Station in Mandaue where I met a group of 6 strangers for the first time namely, Jonathan , Dynah , Jan-Jan , Dale , Dennis and Claire . At 7am We took a regular bus to Catmon for 59php (non-aircon bus). Registration is at Catmon Police Station and paid 650php for the Climbers Permit good for 20 climbers. Catmon only accepts 1 group of climbers per day. If the group decides to camp and spend a night, Catmon will not accept climbers the next day. This is for the maintenance and preservation of their timberland. We hired a habal-habal for 350php per pax to take us to the jump off point in Brgy. Agsuwao.
